Audio Innovations 800 Mk3 Amplifier
This was making noises because of a faulty mains switch, investigating found the switch was in fact; 'goosed'. More importantly one of the valves was passing excess current. The valve base had not been soldered in correctly, probably missing one of the grid connections. The 470 ohm resistor had fallen to pieces and the 68 µF capacitor had expired. I replaced the valve base and other 2 components, had to close up the valve connectors as there was intermittent noise when they were moved and dry joints aplenty. Sounded okay afterwards.

This one was blowing the mains fuse. The HT rectifier was s\c, then noticed the 100 µF cathode bypass capacitors were looking worse for wear so they were replaced, sounded great for a valve amp afterwards.
